In October 2021, Hub International’s Specialty Program Group acquired healthcare liability insurance coverage provider, CM&F Group.

Who owns Hub International?

One of the top global insurance brokers, Hub International operates more than 475 offices throughout North America. It provides commercial property/casualty coverage, including liability, auto, transportation, and workers’ compensation. HUB International was formed in 1998 with less than 300 employees and less than 50 Canadian offices.

It also offers employee benefits, risk management, HR consulting, and personal insurance products and services. Customers include companies in the construction, entertainment, financial, health care, transportation, public sector, and life sciences industries.

Hub International is controlled by the private equity firm Hellman & Friedman for around $4.4 billion. Moving on, Hub International Limited and Morneau Shepell Inc. announced the sale of Morneau Shepell’s benefits consulting practice to Hub.
